Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!!
Saadh Sangat Ji,
Gurpreet Singh Sarin from our Sikh Sangat (participant of American Idol) is acting in this play that has direct relevance for all immigrants especially Sikh immigrants. This play is showing daily until May 13.
The Fabulous Lipitones.
Further information: http://www.thelittletheatre.
He is acting as a Sikh immigrant and the play depicts the challenges and hurdles that immigrants face and how the American community copes and comes together. I found it entertaining & hilarious, engaging and definitely relevant. I would highly recommend.
“The Fabulous Lipitones – The Fabulous Lipitones is a hilarious take on what happens when a barbershop quartet is forced to take on an unconventional replacement when one of their members suddenly dies. When they meet face to face with their replacement, he is definitely not what they expected. Will the four of them have perfect harmony or will the clash of cultures be too great? This comical and moving story about the power of song, prejudice, and friendship will fill the LTA auditorium with both laughs, tears, and the close harmonies of barbershop quartets.”
Sangat is requested to please support this and get benefit out of this as well because theme of this play is very good.

Saadh Sangat Ji,
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!!
Please join us in celebrating janam diwas of Baba Deep Singh Ji on this Sunday 29-Jan-2017 at Gurudwara Sahib.
Baba Deep Singh (1682–1757) is revered among Sikhs as one of the most honored martyrs in Sikhism and as a highly religious person. He is remembered for his sacrifice and devotion to the teachings of the Sikh Gurus. Baba Deep Singh was the first head of Misl Shaheedan Tarna Dal – an order of the Khalsa military established by Nawab Kapur Singh, the then head of Sharomani Panth Akali Buddha Dal.
In 1757, he led an army to defend the Golden Temple from Afghans. On being mortally wounded with a severe gash to his head, a Sikh reminded Baba Deep Singh, “You had resolved to reach the periphery of the pool.” On hearing the talk of the Sikh, he supported his head with his left hand and removing the enemies from his way with the strokes of his double-edged sword with his right hand, reached the periphery of Harmandir Sahib where he breathed his last.
Baba Deep Singh’s 40 kg Khanda (double-edged sword), which he used in his final battle, is still preserved at Akaal Takhat Sahib.
NOTE: There is ample amount of free parking on Sunday in DC next to Gurdwara Sahib and also there is parking lot in basement.
We look forward to your visit along with friends and family.
